Masters Research Project: Amoeboid Migration

As  cells migrate through complex microenvironments like the extracellular matrix, they employ different types of migration strategies to overcome environmental barriers. This Master’s Research Project will deliver an animation focusing on understanding and visualizing the differences between amoeboid and mesenchymal migration, specifically in the context of immune cell migration. By providing internal and external context in understanding the mechanisms of actin-myosin cytoskeleton and amoeboid nucleokinesis within immune cells, the animation aims to enhance the comprehension of undergraduate students and researchers studying immune cell migration. Through visualizing spatial and temporal dynamics of the migration, the animation may provide clarity on a complex biological process like cell migration.
